-3-
STAFF CONCERNS:
As mentioned earlier, a major factor to be considered in
the installation of an asphalt plant on this site is
screening from adjacent and much lesser intensive uses.
Given the limited area of this request and its location
to the interior of the subject site, staff considers
adequate screening to be quite feasible.
CITIZEN RESPONSES:
Comments have been received through telephone
conversations with three landowners in the area of this
request. Of major concern to those landowners was the
potential for industrial development on the site. Of
much lesser concern, given the fact that mining and
reclamation plans have already been approved, was the
potential for the installation of an asphalt plant
accessory to that use.
COUNTY AGENCY RESPONSES:
DESIGN ENGINEER: None
TRAFFIC ENGINEER: None
ROW AGENT: None
COUNTY ATTORNEY: None
REFERRAL AGENCY RESPONSES:
RESPONDING WITH CONCERNS:
None
RESPONDING WITHOUT CONCERNS:
Urban Drainage and Flood Control District
Colorado Geological Survey
Western Slope Gas Company
Mountain Bell
