Upon
reaching concurrence with the Division on the Affected Area boundary, the corners will be
marked in the field.
Permit Identification Sign:
The Permit identification sign does not show the current Operator.
Response:
In January 2002 the Operator installed a correct Permit identification sign and
provided photographic evidence.
Topsoil Storage Areas:
The original site map showed two topsoil storage locations.
Response:
One sizable topsoil storage pile exists in the southeast corner of the mine site. This
pile has been shown on the enclosed 1" = 100' site map.
June 2.1998 Letter from Division:
Topsoil Stockpiles:
The 1978 site map shows two topsoil stockpiles, but only one was noted in the 1997
inspection. Provide correct depiction of stockpiles and provide an estimate of the volume.
Response:
The main topsoil stockpile is located in the southeast corner of the mine site. The pile
has an estimated volume of 600 yd'. Additional soil can be salvaged along the slope to the
west of the stockpile. The 1" = 100' map submitted herewith shows the current topsoil
storage location.
Stonnwater/Sediment Control Structures:
The site map does not show the location of the stormwater/sediment control structures.
Response:
The 1" = 100' map submitted herewith shows the sediment and runoff control
structures.
1
