In order to protect any
' possible archaeological sites in the proposed exploration area, an srchaeologicsl
survey o1.' proposed hole locations and access routes will be performed prior to
initiation of the exploration program.
5.0 HYDROLOGY
5.1 Surface Hydrology
' The majo:• drsinsge in the exploration area is Red Wssh, an intermittent stream
that flows: to the south-southesst into the White River. Red Wash tributaries form
' s dendrit.ic pattern of relatively deep, narrow gullies cutting the typically
rolling terrsin. Elevations in the area range Prom approximately 5400 to 5700
feet above mean sea level.
' S.2 Subsurface Hydrology
Rocks in l.he region are predominately consolidated sandstones and shales. Based
on previous drilling and hydrologic studies in the ores, channel like sandstones
' are the main potential source of sub-surface caster in this area. Because these
channel sandstones are generally err slit and of limited lateral continuity, the
probability of interception by drilling is low.
6.0 GEOLOGY
' 6.1 Strstigraphy
' boost of the exposed rocks belong to the Mesaverde Group of Upper Cretaceous age.
' Western Fuels has divided the Messverde Group in this area into Iles, Lower
5
1
