We look forwazd to balancing the dual roles of being both a profitable <br />business and a good neighbor. ACA PRODUCTS, INC. follows the rules of numerous <br />governmental agencies in charge of protecting our natural resources, including: <br />• Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety <br />• Colorado Department of Health -Air Pollution Control Division <br />• Colorado Department of Health -Water Quality Control Division <br />• MSHA <br />• OSHA <br />• Lake County Land Use Permits <br />Project Compliance, Compatibility and Impact <br />1. The Pine Ridge Pit has received numerous temporary use permits with the Lake <br />' County government. <br />2. Land use in the surrounding area includes the Lake County Gravel Pit, vacant <br />' lands, state lands and a small subdivision to the east of current permitted site. <br />3. Current traffic patterns for the Pine Ridge Pit range from 10-20 average daily <br />' trucks. Maximum potential of trucks leaving the site is 100 when serving CDOT <br />projects in the surrounding area. Adequate parking and loading areas exist within <br />the permitted site. Both the Lake County Road Department and Aca Products <br />' currently provide the road maintenance. Traffic patterns for the Pine Ridge Pit <br />are seasonal. The pit is in operation for approximately 6 months of the year. <br />' 4. No utilities will be used on site. Currently generators are the power source <br />supply. No fire hydrants are in the immediate azea. <br />5. No special or unusual demands on utilities are requested for the Pine Ridge Pit. <br />6. No negative effects on public facilities such as fire, police, sanitation, pazks, <br />schools or roads. We currently have in place a road maintenance agreement with <br />the Lake County Board of Commissioners. <br />I have enclosed a copy of the Chaffee-Lake Area Soil Survey in regards to the <br />Pine Ridge Pit. Soil Conservationist Darol Wilson provided additional <br />information which is attached. Soils in the area include (PgD -Pierian gravely <br />sandy loam and TrE - Troutvilte gravely sandy loam. <br />8. The impact of the Pine Ridge Pit concerning geology is minimal.
