Revisions to the CYCC Mine No. 3 Permit
The following revisions to the CYCC Mine No. 3 permit have been submitted to
the Division since the issuance of the CYCC Mine No. 3 permit. Each of these
revisions have been re-evaluated as part of the midterm review process. A
brief description of each revision and the action taken by the Division on
each revision is presented in the following paragraphs.
Technical Revision No. 1 - Revised Sediment Control Plan provided for primary
dewatering devices for ponds M3-S and M3-N, sediment control for the area
above the Homestead Ditch and additional drainage controls.
Revision approved (November 24, 1986).
Technical Revision No. 2 - Request for a reduction in hydrologic monitoring.
The technical revision eliminated four bedrock and three alluvial ground water
monitoring wells from the monitoring plan. Stream monitoring sites 18, 60 and
99 were also deleted from the program. Bedrock monitoring well sampling
frequency was reduced from quarterly to semi-annual. Several water quality
parameters were deleted from the full-suite analysis list. An annual spring
and seep survey and a commitment to monitor spoils springs on the property
were added to the monitoring plan.
Revision approved (February 1, 1987).
Technical Revision No. 3 - Revision to retain ponds M3-S and M3-N as permanent
structures.
Revision approved (February 12, 1987)
Technical Revision No. 4 - Modification of Rill and Gully Plan. Mine No. 3
had some problems with erosion and, as a result of the previous midterm
review, a revision was requested to modify the Rill and Gu11y Plan.
Revision approved (May 8, 1989).
Technical Revision No. 5 - Incidental boundary change. A parcel of
undisturbed land described as SW 1/4 SE 1/4 SE 1/4 of Section 1 of Township 5
North, Range 86 West, was removed from the permit area.
Revision approved (May 31, 1989)
