Section 2.1.2.2, page 2-6 -Same comment as above for the pipeline route. Will the fmal
route be selected prior to the PDEIS? We need basic descriptive information on the pipeline -
size of pipe, width of construction and permanent ROW, proximity to existing utility corridors,
land requirements, any aboveground facilities, applicable standazds, typical cross-sections,
general construction methods, methods in sensitive/difficult areas (rugged topography
(sideslopes), blasting, wetlands, waterbodies), sources and disposal of hydrostatic test water.
Have any clearance surveys been conducted along these routes? Who will do them, and when?
17. If all three routes will be analyzed in the EIS, we will need similar details for all routes.
The decision for selecting the preferred route will then be made as part of the NEPA process.
18. Where it is not presented, we need the same kind of information for the 44-mile pipeline.
The final project pipeline route has been selected, and a map has been provided to
Woodward-Clyde. Minor revisions to the proposed rorite and to the pipeline
specifications given below may be required during the detailed design and
construction phases of the project. Basic descriptive information on the project
pipelines is as follows:
8
