i~ <br />' - 17. Fuel, flammable materials and hazardous shall be kept in a safe area. <br />18. The permittee shall notify the Routt County Road and Bridge Department and the Routt County <br />Planning Department of the date of corrimencement of operations that may affect the County <br />Roads to ensure that any conditions of this approval that must be met prior to commencement <br />of mining under the roads have been complied with. <br />19. The SUP is contingent upon the inclusion of the following conditions as stated in the Routt <br />County Roads 27 and 33 Monitoring and Maintenance Plans: <br />a. Prior to longivall mining beneath Routt County Roads 27 and 33, subsidence <br />monuments will be placed along the road above the gate roads and center of the <br />panels. The monuments will be 6" to 12" spikes driven in the ground in the <br />shoulder of the road. The monuments will be monitored on a quarterly basis while <br />_ _ _ - active longwal] mining occurs. Once the panel has been mined and two monitoring _ <br />sessions show no further movement, monitoring will be discontinued and the <br />monuments will be removed. The County will be consulted as, to the placement of <br />the monuments within the right-of--way. <br />b. Prior to longwall mining beneath Routt County Roads 27 and 33, Twentymile Coal <br />Company will have signs placed within the road right-of--way advising the motoring <br />public that they will be entering a subsidence zone 1500 ft. ahead. The signs will <br />read, "Begin Subsidence Zone," and "I,eavirg Subsidence Zone." These signs will <br />be placed so they are visible from each direction of travel. Twentymile Coal <br />Company will work with the Routt County Road and' Bridge Department to place <br />appropriate sigaage with the information printed in large, bold format. <br />c. Twentymile Coal Company will have warning signs placed within the road right-of- <br />way and spaced throughout the area to be subsided. The signs will read, "Rough <br />- Road" and `_`Drive with Care." _ _ <br />d. Twentymile Coal Company will seal all cracks in the asphalt that penetrate to the <br />road base material that result from subsidence under the roads. During the active <br />longwall mining, the roads will be inspected daily for evidence of surface cracking. <br />The County will be consulted as to the correct materials to be utilized for <br />completing repairs. <br />e. -T-wentymile Coal Company will repair-potholes that .result from-subsidence-.under . _ _ _ - <br />the roads. The.County will be consulted as to the correct materials to be utilized in <br />completing the repairs.- <br />f. Twentymile Coal Company will repair drainage ditches along the roads that have <br />been damaged due to subsiding the roads. <br />20. -The petitioner shall cooperate with the Colorado Division of Wildlife- (CDOW) regarding the <br />riparian areas of Fish Creek. The permittee shall work with planning staff and the CDOW to <br />.evaluate potential impacts to grouse leks in the azeas of the 18 right intake ventilation shaft <br />access road,- drill pad-or associated facilities. If necessary, the permittee shall work with the <br />DOW to design and implement a mitigation plan to minimize potential impacts and to <br />determine the height of the safety fenFe. <br />21. All electrical line poles for the Northern Mining District power bore hole shall be located <br />outside of zny County Road right-of--way unless permission is obtained from the Routt County <br />Road and Bridge Director. <br />Page 3 of 4 <br />
