22. Miscellaneous Materials <br />In addition to the structures and utilities specified for demolition <br />and removal in Section III. 2.2.8.2 of the Special Conditions, the <br />west mine area contains a substantial quantity of miscellaneous <br />mining equipment, machinery, materials, parts, supplies and garbage <br />remaining on or partially buried under the existing ground <br />surfaces. These materials include such items as timbers, boards, <br />wood poles; metal and plastic Dipe or tubing, rubber hoses, motors, <br />pumps, tubing, chain, sheet and plate metal, structural and cast <br />steel, underground mining machinery parts and supplies, plastic and <br />fabric tarps, fencing and fence posts, tools, concrete or masonry <br />blocks, culverts, chain, barrels, buckets, cans, boxes and garbage. <br />All mining related or man made materials described herein or <br />otherwise remaining on or visible from the existing mine surface and <br />situated within the working area limits delineated on Exhibits 3A <br />and 3B shall be demolished or dismantled, salvaged and removed or <br />otherwise disposed of in accordance with the methods and performance <br />standards set forth under Section III. 2.2.8.2 of the Special <br />Conditions. Mining equipment remaining within the working area <br />limits which has at the time of the Dre-bid meeting been purchased <br />from the operator and tagged by the new owners is covered under <br />Section III. 3 of the Special Conditions. All barrels, drums, <br />tanks, and other containers remaining within the working area limits <br />which contain or have a visible residue of industrial fluids or <br />chemicals of any kind shall be disposed of in accordance with the <br />methods and performance standards specified in Section III. 2.2.8.7 <br />of the Special Conditions. <br />2.3 Measurement and Payment <br />No measurement for Dayment shall be made for structural and electrical <br />utilities demolition and removal. Payment shall be for the lump sum bid <br />price established on the Bid Schedule for each bid item listed. The <br />price bid shall include all of the CONTRACTOR's cost of whatever nature <br />to provide complete structural activities demolition and removal in <br />accordance with the plans and specifications, including demolition or <br />dismantlement, complete removal from the project sits if salvaged, and <br />placement and burial on site or hauling to and dumping in the Hawk's Hest <br />refuse disposal area pit adiacent to the Delta County Landfill site. <br />3.0 PORTAL BENCH EQUIPMENT REMOVAL <br />3.1 Description <br />Tnis specification covers the possiole moving of certain pieces of heavy <br />underground mining equipment from the west mine area aortal bench to the <br />east mine area lay down pad. This activity will only be performed if the <br />owner of the recently purchased equipment has not removed the machinery <br />by the time the Notice to Proceed has been issued for this Purchase Order <br />-13- <br />
