Demolition or dismantling, removal and/or disposal of <br />this structure shall be completed in accordance wirh the methods and <br />performance standards specified in Section III. 2.2. B.2 of the <br />Special Conditions. The drainage ditch along the north side of the <br />railroad tracks shall be maintained in its existing configuration, <br />and the CONTRACTOR shall ensure that the rail line remains open and <br />operational at all times during construction. The rail line is <br />currently being utilized all the way to the end of the tracks a <br />minimum of 2 times per week by the Mt. Gunnison No. 1 mining <br />operation . <br />18. Water Well Facility <br />This structure is shown on Exhibit 3A and on drawing sheets 29 and <br />30 of 30. The two vertical CMP structures and all inside contents <br />shall be demolished or dismantled, removed and/or disposed of in <br />accordance with the methods and Derformance standards specified in <br />Section III. 2.2.6.2 of the Special Conditions. In addition, any <br />voids or cavities remaining after demolition of this facilit.Y shall <br />be backfilled to grade. <br />19. Sediment Pond Dewatering Device <br />This structure is shown on Exhibit 3A and on drawino sheet 30 of <br />30. The dewatering device concrete slab and foundation, catwalk and <br />railing, catwalk supports, valves, 6 inch diameter CMP principal <br />spillway, and vertical portion of the 36 inch diameter CMP emergency <br />spillway shall be demolished or dismantled, removed and/or disposed <br />of in accordance with the methods and performance standards <br />specified in Section III. 2.2.8.2 of the Special Conditions. The <br />outlet end segment (daylight Doint to culvert mouth) of the sediment <br />pond emergency spillway culvert shall be removed and salvaged or <br />otherwise disposed of in accordance with the requirements of Section <br />III. 2.2.8.2 of the Special Conditions. The remaining end of the <br />culvert shall be collapsed or otherwise filled in a minimum of 1 <br />foot below the existing surface grade and covered to grade with fill <br />material. <br />20. Electrical Power and Light Poles and Wires <br />The portions of the electrical power distribution system for the <br />Hawk's Nest Mine to be removed are shown on Exhibits 3B, 3C, 3D, <br />and 3E for the west mine area, east mine area, and silo area. Each <br />exhibit specifies which pole and wire segments are to be removed, <br />and which segments are to remain in place. The powerline segment <br />1 ocated between the west mine area and east mine area on the north <br />side of the old section of State Highway 133 is included in the <br />sections to be removed, however this portion is not depicted on an.y <br />of the exnibits or drawings.
