2.0 STRUCTURAL AND ELECTRICAL UTILITIES DEMOLITION AND REMOVAL <br />2.1 Description <br />This specification covers all work required to demolish, raze, or otherwise <br />dismantle and dispose of all structures, facilities, and electrical utilities <br />listed under item 2.2.B below. Structures and facilities are shown on Exhibit <br />3A and drawing sheets 1 through 30; electrical utilities are shown on Exhibits <br />3B, 3C, 3D, and 3E. This specification also covers the removal and disposal <br />of all mining related equipment, materials, parts, supplies and garbage <br />remaining within the west mine working area limits as delineated on attached <br />Exhibits 3A and 38. <br />2.2 Execution <br />A. Salvage <br />The CONTRACTOR is allowed salvage rights to all mining related <br />structures, facilities, untagged mining equipment, parts, supplies and <br />materials remaining within the west mine working area limits at the time <br />of the on site pre-bid meeting. Certain pieces of mining equipment <br />remaining on the portal bench have been purchased from the operator and <br />tagged by the new owner. These items will be identified during the <br />pre-bid meeting and are not available for salvage. Section III of the <br />Special Conditions covers the removal, transport, and storage of those <br />items at the east mine area. The west mine working area limits are shown <br />on Exhibits 3A and 38. Salvage rights are also allowed for all mine <br />electrical power and lighting system poles, wires, fixtures, and any <br />other electrical equipment which is not the property of the Delta <br />Montrose Electric Association (DMEA) and which is specified for removal <br />as indicated on Exhibits 36, 3C, 3D, and 3E. The telephone lines <br />specified for removal on these Exhibits may also be salvaged by the <br />CONTRACTOR. However, all telephone poles specified for removal must be <br />hauled by the CONTRACTOR to the silo area truck dump pad shown on Exhibit <br />3C and neatly stockpiled for subsequent pickup b.y the Delta County <br />Telephone Company (DCTC). The poles are the property of DCTC. <br />The dollar amount bid b.y the CONTRACTOR for demolition and removal of <br />each item listed on the Bid Schedule shall consist of the total cost of <br />demolition, removal and/or disposal less anticipated salvage value, if <br />any. <br />B. Demolition and Removal <br />The CONTRACTOR shall demolish or dismantle, remove from the mine site if <br />salvaged, or dispose of on site or at the refuse disposal area all of the <br />following structures, utilities and materials in accordance with the <br />specifications set forth in items 1 through 22 belay. In no case shall <br />any materials be left on the surface of or outside the working area <br />limits, unless authorized by the PROJECT MANAGER. <br />- 5- <br />
