for Mining Area and the Table - Topsoil/Subsoil Removal Plan. The
former gives thedirect relationship between the soils removed
and the topsoil/subsoil stockpile by years. The latter points out
the actual volumes of topsoil removed by soil types and by year.
A specific Table - Topsoil/Subsoil Stockpile Information, also was
included, which gave each specific topsoil/subsoil stockpile number,
size, volume andlocation (Map 19, Topsoil Handling, Map 11, Soils,
are attached for~your reference.)

measured The volumes were 155,062 LCY and 315,741 LCY
respectively. Stockpile !el was originally come from
Dorchester's surface facilities area. Therefore, those
overburden materials shall have to be returned to this
specific area right after Dorchester is through with
mining. In Stockpile sit, 234,032 LCY of the 315,741 LCY
overburden material were designated stockpiling for GEC's
West Pit per agreement with Newlin Creek Mine dated October
15, 1982. This material will have to be used for the
West Pit final backfilling. The deadline for the extension
of the West Pit reclamation will be approximately 18 months
from the date of the agreement. It depends on Newlin Creek
Mine's filnal decision. A backfill/stockpiling bonding
amount of $143,000 has been put up by Newlin Creek for this
purpose.) The remianing 81,700 LCY overburden material was
planned for the final backfilling of Phase II area, which was
proposed to be carried out later part of 1983 and early part
of 1984.
