Leakage can be easily <br />detected by the loss of head in any of the storage tanks or lined <br />waste disposal e~reas. <br />c. As previously mE,ntioned, planning of all proposed facilities was done <br />in conjunction with a registered Professional Engineer. <br />2a. No tailings ponds are proposed as part of this operation. All refer- <br />ences to same ar•e in error and will be corrected accordingly. All <br />spent materials are to be deposited in lined waste disposal areas. <br />b. Spent tailings will be deposited in the disposal areas as indicated <br />on the Mining Plan Map. The areas will be lined with 20 mil hypalon <br />to protect against seepage. <br />c. No sampling of tailings is planned, since tails are neutralized in <br />the process. <br />d. No tailings ponds will be included as part of this operation. <br />e. Please see point lc. above. <br />f. Existing tailings ponds will not be used in the operation. <br />3. All toxic materials will be contained within a closed processing unit. <br />4. The boundaries of. the affected land will be outlined on all maps and <br />the revised maps will be submitted to the Division. Adjacent landowners <br />will be documented. <br />5. No roads other than those currently in existence will be utilized in the <br />operation. <br />6. All parts of the affected land with topsoil will have the topsoil stripped <br />and stockpiled. Stockpiles will be seeded with a perennial grass, such <br />as rye, in order to provide stability and to protect against erosion. <br />7. Sedimentation resulting from the operation is anticipated to be minimal <br />and will be contained within the waste areas. <br />8. All shafts within the permit area will be used either for purposes of <br />entry or for sup~~ly of air. <br />
