The tabulated results for this survey aze shown in Table 3. This block
scored significantly better than last year because the rills and gullies that formed along the
disturbance created when placing the cloth in the drainage as part of the 1995 remediation have
healed substantially. One gully in the vicinity of Downdrain 3 remains, however it does not
show any signs of active erosion. No corrective measures are planned as a result of the inventory
Table 3: Moffat Area Block 2 Erosion Condition Classification
Possible
Item Score 1997 1996 1995 1993 1992
Soil Movement 14 3 3 3 3 0
Surface Litter 14 3 3 0 0 0
Surface Rock Fragments 14 0 2 0 0 0
Pedestalling 14 0 0 0 0 0
Flow Patterns 15 0 6 6 3 3
Rills 14 3 6 6 0 3
Gullies 15 3 6 3 0 0
Total 100 12 26 18 6 6
Erosion Condition Classi fication: Stable Slight Stable Stable Stable
Block 3
The erosion condition composite SSF score for this site was 18, which placed it in the
Stable erosion class. This area was seeded in the spring of 1995 and resides on a fairly steep
hillside. Vegetation on this block was more sparse than adjoining blocks. However, it was
seeded later than the adjacent blocks with additional grading, [opsoiling and seeding work
performed in 1996. The tabulated results for this survey are shown in Table 4. No corrective
measures are planned as a result of the inventory.
