The tabulated results for this survey are shown in Table 5. This azea shows
improvement with respect to flow patterns and gullies when compared to last year, but also
shows regression in terms of surface litter and rills. The gullies noted in the survey are
stabilizing with vegetation beginning to grow in on the sides in the bottom. These features are
located in the center section of this block toward the bottom of the hill. No corrective measures
are planned as a result of the inventory.
Table 5: Moffat Area Block 4 Erosion Condition Classification
Possible
Item Score 1997 1996 1995 1993 1992
Soil Movement 14 3 3 3 3
Surface Litter 14 3 0 3 0
Surface Rock Fragments 14 0 0 2 0
Pedestalling 14 0 0 0 0
Flow Patterns 15 3 6 6 3
Rills l4 6 3 6 0
Gullies IS 3 6 6 0
Total 100 18 18 26 6
Erosion Condition Classi fication: Stable Stable Slight Stable
Block 5
The erosion condition composite SSF score for this site was 9, which placed it in the
Stable erosion class.
