<br /> <br />(3) Description of any modifications to the original design that <br />occurred during installation. <br />vi. Any modifications to the liner, remedial work to reduce seepage, or <br />penetrations of the liner made subsequent to the original completion <br />of the liner shall be designed by a Colorado registered engineer and <br />be submitted to Thornton for review and comment. Thornton shall <br />have up to thirty {30) days to comment on the design before the <br />start of any such work. The design documents submitted to <br />Thornton shall include at a minimum the following: <br />(1) Plan and section drawings that depict the proposed work; <br />(2) Technical specifications for the work; <br />(3) Other pertinent backup information used to prepare the <br />design; <br />(4) Estimate of the effect on the steady-state leakage rate into <br />an empty pit after the work is completed <br />c. Gravel Pit Side Slooes and Bottom. <br />Aggregate shall provide to Thornton design documentation for <br />review and comment at least thirty (30) days before the start of the <br />installation of the gravel pit slopes and bottom. The design <br />documents submitted to Thomton shall include at a minimum the <br />following: <br />(1) Plan drawing that shows the final proposed ground surface <br />topography of the site; <br />(2) Section drawings that depict the limits of excavation, final <br />ground topography, and locations of various zones, if any, of <br />material that will be used in installation of the slopes; <br />(3) Descriptions of each type of material that will be used in <br />installation of the slopes and any laboratory tests that have <br />been pertormed on the materials to be used in installation; <br />(4) Sources of materials to be used in installation; <br />Hammer <br />Option & Purchase Agreement <br />December li, 2000 <br />Page 9 of 29 <br />
