The average flow <br />rate (in million gallons per day) during the reporting <br />period and the daily maximum flow (maximum volume discharged <br />during a 24-hour period) shall be reported. <br />~/ In the event that an oil sheen or floating oil is observed <br />is the discharge, a grab sample shall be.immediately taken, <br />analyzed and reported. The sample shall not exceed 10 mg/L. <br />~/ Quarterly samples shall be collected during the months of <br />January, April, July, and October, if a continual discharge <br />occurs. If the discharge occurs oa an intermittent basis, <br />the quarterly sample shall be collected during the period <br />when that intermittent discharge occurs. <br />g/ To the extent practicable, samples should be collected from <br />the discharge resulting from a storm event that is greater <br />than 0.1 inches in magnitude sad that occurs at least 72 <br />hours from the previously measurable (greater than 0.1 inch <br />rainfall) storm event. To the extent practicable, the grab <br />sample shall be taken during the first 30 minutes of the <br />discharge. If the collection of a grab sample during the <br />first 30 minutes is impracticable, a grab sample can kie <br />taken during the first hour of the discharge, and the <br />discharger shall submit with the monitoring report a <br />description of why a grab sample during the first 30 minutes <br />was impracticable. <br />
