point where it will reconnect with the present ditch. All excavations
near the ditch area will he kept a considerable distance from the ditch.
• Furthermore, the ditch is conrrete lined for a large portion of its
length in this area and this will help to improve the integrity of the
ditch thereby further reducing the passibility of a ditch break.
WILDLIFEc Wildlife is not a part of this reclamation plan. There is
very little wildlife present on this site ar in the vicinity of this
site. Although several years ago wildlife was present in this area, the
development of nearby industrial and residential areas in the last few
years has essentially driven all significant wildlife out of the area.
As a result, provisions far wildlife are not needed in the plan.
TOFSDILIN6c Topsail will be strippEd from the areas where topsoil
• still exists. The depth of removal and stockpiling locations will be in
,~
accordance with the sail information (Exhibit I) and the mining plan and j_~°Z
mining plan maps (Exhibits C and D). These locations are within the
per nit area and are strategically located so as to permit rapid
replacement on areas requiring soil. This will also help to minimize
any rehandling of the soil.
Because this operation is a rather long-lived one, it will be
necessary to replace sail and revegetate some areas even though it may
well be that the land will be built upon when the mining is completed
and possibly even before. This-is necessary in order to protect the
land from blowing sand as well as satisfy the always present passibility
that development will not occur when the operation is completed.
r 1
\_J
F'AGE 6 OF 14 - EXHIBIT E
