height is considered important to providing a ready access from the
Drennan koadipcademy Boulevard interchange. By referring to section J~S~ ? N~'
• I-I' the fill size and depth can be seen. This size is based upon
projected production of waste from the processing of sand on the rest of
the operation. It may be that the amount will be greater than is
assumed, but this fill design is based upon a rather conservative
projection of waste production and has been adjusted far the amount of
waste that will probably be needed for similar backfilling of the Sand
Fit area. Once again, this will take a considerable amount of time to
complete and therefore this area will be late to reclai~ /
i
In the event the ditch is moved to another location then the ridge
currently shown separating Phase Ile and IVe will 6e removed and the two
areas connected. This is another reason for placing Phase IVe near the
end of the operation. If the ditch is coved or removed then the
• direction of Dining could proceed frog north to south and no ridge would
occur.
WATEF_ No streams occur on the site and groundwater will not be
encountered in the operation, even at its maximum depth. The water
table is several feet below the bottom of the deepest portion of the
pit. Even rain from heavy storms as well as snowmelt does not stay in
the bottom of existing operations for mare than a few hours. The
material is far too permeable to permit standing water to occur or
develop. In esssence, water resources are not of concern on this site,
other than the ditch itself.
The ditch, will soon be placed under Academy Boulevard from the
Sand Pit operation to the west. The ditch will then proceed southward
• along the east side of Academy and on the western edge of Phase IIe to a
F'AGE 5 OF 14 - EXHIBIT E
