PHASE IVe - This area to the south of the ditch will probably 6e
• mined from south to north. In that way, grades can be maintained and
the access bridge across the ditch can be utilized without steep grades
on the access road. In the meantime, it will 6e decided as to whether
the ditch will remain in its current location ar moved to the north or
eliminated. If it is removed then this pit will merge into the one in
PHASE IIe. This latter situation is preferred in that it would produce
the most useful land in the future and, if possible, will 6e sought.
PHASE Ve - This small area immediately under the present ditch will
be mined by either constructing a pipe across the excavation to carry
the ditch water ar will be linked to Phase Ie and IIe by removal in the
event the ditch is eventually changed or eliminated. This Phase will be
the last one to 6e operated on the east side of Academy Boulevard
w ="This is the processing area and essentially na mining
• I will occur in this area. It is to be used essentially 140% for
processing and dispensing of the products.
PHASE IIw - This shall area is underlain in same areas by a bed of
gravel about 15 feet thick. These will be excavated as demand occurs.
If the demand is high, the mineral in this area could 6e eliminated in
about 1 to 2 years; if law, then it could take a decade to cmnplete.
PHASE IIIw - This two part area along Academy Boulevard is the
western counterpart of the "roadside" mining to occur an the east side
of Academy. Essentially, all that will be done here is to reduce the
slopes to a similar elevation to what is produced on the east side.
This will produce consistency as well as reduce the high slopes that
tend to erode and deposit sand directly on the highway.
•
FAGE 9 OF 11 - EXHIBIT D
