PHASE Ie - This phase is an area of current excavation activity.
• To the north this will be a;:panded to about 75 to 100 feet from the
ditch sides. To the south it will expand through the narrow neck and
then expand to the east. The latter area may not be mined, but a plan
is presented just in case it is. The area along Academy will be lowered
to an elevation of about 12 to IS feet above the roadway, but in mast
areas the presence of the powerline will determine the depth of
operation. In no case will the mining extend below the level of the
base of the powerpoles.
PHASE IIe - This BI acre area will be mined very much in
accordance with the method described above, that is, two or three areas
will be opened at a time and these worked into a merging pit. In this
area no real direction of mining can be described as it will tend to
move about. However, projections indicate that at the most about 30 to
40 acres will be opened at a time. This is all that is needed. As
areas are completed they will be topsoiled thus maintaining this maximum
~ exposed acreage value.
PHASE IIIe - It has still not been determined whether this area
will be mined, but a plan is presented for it just in case it is. If it
is mined, the direction of mining will be generally eastward from the
boundary of Phase IIe and IIIe.

a - ~ D~
F'AGE B OF it - EXHIEIT D
