• is used to crush some of the mine rock and the crushed rock is screened <br />to provide a final product of various sizes. Three screens will be used <br />to produce the various finished products. During use of the crusher and <br />screening plant, the unit will be maintained according to a schedule and <br />maintenance list prepared by Empire's Maintenance Department. <br />The Colorado Department of Health, Air Pollution Control Division, <br />has been notified and an emission permit application is in the review <br />process. Initial permits have been issued for the crusher. A copy of <br />the permit is found in Appendix II-3. <br />The Division allowed a variance for sediment control for the site. <br />• The berm around the perimeter of the lower bench will provide for <br />storage for any rainfall on the site. Collection ditches have been <br />designed, see Appendix IV-4, to drain water from the upper bench to <br />lower bench for storage. <br />The Reclamation of the site is addressed in section 4.2 of the <br />application. <br />Fresh Water System - Empire Mains <br />The Division, on December 21, 1982, approved a minor revision to <br />construct a fresh water system servicing the Empire Mains at the Eagle <br />Mine Complex. Since the time of approval, Empire requested another <br />minor revision to construct an underground reservoir in the system. The <br />location of the various components of the system, storage tank, <br />. infection borehole, overland pipe, and underground reservoir are shown <br />on Maps IV-2 and 9. <br />(REV. 12/13/83) IV-44 f <br />
