• to keep off of the berm.
The existing road will be used to gain access to the lower bench.
The entire length of the access road is located on a gentle slope.
Refer to Map IV-15 for location. No cuts or fills are required for the
road. The overall grade of the road is 74h:1v for the position of the
road that runs in a general east to west direction, and 23h:1v for the
portion of the road that runs in a general north to south direction.
The horizontal alignment is consistent with the surrounding
topography. The road will be surfaced with a durable rock material to
decrease the potential for erosion; however, given the grade of the
• road, no erosion problems should be encountered. No culverts are
required for the access road. The roads will be maintained on a
periodic basis to ensure the road surface material is in place and to
check for any erosion problems.
The crusher will set on a pad above the screening plant. The pad
will be constructed of wooden support beams and fill, The pad will be
five feet in height, approximately 15 feet in width at the top of the
pad, and 30 feet in length at the top of the pad. This will require
approximately 83 yd3 of fill. The side slopes, when present, will be
2h:ly or steeper and will require approximately 42 yd3 of fill. The
total fill for the pad will be approximately 125 yd3. This material
will be obtained from the lower bench or imported to the site.
• The crusher and screening plant is a factory built mobile unit that
I V-44 e
(RcV. 12/13/83)
