The MANUFACTURER shall permit MANAGER, DESIGN ENGINEER, andlor <br />CERTIFYING ENGINEER or their authorized representative to visit the <br />manufacturing plant. <br />8. Geomembrane Installation Qualifications IINSTALLER) <br />1. INSTALLER shall be the MANUFACTURER or an approved CONTRACTOR <br />trained and licensed to install the MANUFACTURER'S geomembrane. <br />2. Installation shall be performed under the constant direction of single Installation <br />Superintendent who shall remain on-site and be responsible, throughout the <br />geomembrane installation, for geomembrane layout, seaming, patching, [esting, <br />repairs, and all other activities by INSTALLER. <br />3. The Installation Superintendent shall have installed or supervised, at a minimum <br />three installation projects that entailed the installation of at least a total of <br />1,000,000 square feet of [he type of geomembrane that is being installed at the <br />Cresson Project. <br />4. Actual seaming shall be performed under the direction of a Master Seamer (who <br />may also be the Installation Superintendent) who has seamed a minimum of <br />1 ,000,000 square feet of the type of geomembrane that is being installed at the <br />Cresson Project, using the same type of seaming apparatus specified for the <br />Work. <br />5. The Installation Superintendent and/or Master Seamer shall be present <br />whenever seaming is performed. <br />C. Quality Assurance Program <br />All WORK shall be consvucted, monitored, and tested in compliance with the <br />requirements of the Construction Quality Assurance Plan (Sectfon 01400.21. <br />CONTRACTOR and MANUFACTURER shall participate in and comply with all <br />items in these SPECIFICATIONS and requirements of the CQA plan. <br />2. CONTRACTOR shall ensure that each geomembrane MANUFACTURER that <br />supplies materials to this project has an internal product quality control program <br />that meets SPECIFICATIONS. <br />3. During manufacturfng of the geomembrane, samples of geomembrane shall be <br />removed for laboratory testing to ensure compliance with this SPECIFICATION. <br />Conformance sampling and testing will be performed in accordance with the <br />Construction Quality Assurance Pfan. <br />4. CONTRACTOR shall assure that the geomembrane is ielivered to the site at <br />least 14 calendar days prior to installation. CONTRACTOR will provide required <br />Quafiry Control information 14 calendar days prior to geosynthetics being <br />delivered to the Cresson project and on delivery of geosynthetics to the <br />Cresson projeM. <br />Mazeh 26, 1996 Section 02776.0 <br />py77g,0-q Geomembrane <br />Revision 4 <br />
