Production was determined by
means of clipping (bY life form) a total of 5 oneyuarter meter square plots per transect randomly located
along each transect line. Production samples wets then oven dried at a temperature of 100 deerees
Celsius for a minimum of 48 hours prior to weighing to the nearest hundredth of a gram.
From the Seld data, mean and standard deviation were calculated. These two values, in conjunction with
t-table values and degree of desired accuracy, were used to determine sample adequacy. The t values were
obtained from a Student's t Table as was suggested by the Division per a meeting with the Operator on
April 1, 1994. Those values are listed on the appropriate tables.
Species composition values were derived utilizing the previously obtained cover data for the block.
Sampling was previously conducted by the Division and during this episode the Division approved CYCC
