Bowie Resources Limited -Bowie No. 1 Mine <br />Rationale for TR 34 <br />Page 2 <br />Factor No. 1 -Suspended Operations <br />Monitoring of the following points will be suspended for the 2000 monitoring season and will <br />remain suspended until the final 3 years of the bond liability period. Monitoring will be <br />reinitiated if there is an indication the mine is having any impact on the surface or subsurface <br />water within or adjacent to the mine workings. <br />Surface Water Monitoring Points -Streams <br />SW-10 -Terror Ditch <br />This point is currently monitored by the Bowie No. 2 Mine, and monitoring will be <br />continued at the Bowie No. 2 Mine. <br />Surface Water Monitoring Poiuts -Ponds <br />Pond 87, which lies within the angle of draw of the 3 Right Panel off X Panel in the West <br />Mine, was found to be approximately 80' x 40' x 1.5' deep in 1983, is fed by runoff and <br />used for stockwater. <br />Pond 88, which lies within the angle of draw of the 3rd West Submains off I Panel in the <br />West Mine, was found to be approximately 40' x 40' x 3' deep in 1983, is fed by runoff <br />and used for stockwater. <br />Pond 89, which lies near the angle of draw of the II West Submains in the West Mine, <br />was found to be approximately 80' x 70' x 3' deep in 1983, is fed by runoff and seeps from <br />a colluviaValluvial association and used for stockwater. <br />Pond 10-1, which lies within the angle of draw of the Z Panel off II West Submains in the <br />West Mine, was found to be approximately 50' x 30' in 1983, is fed by runoff and <br />imgation water and is used for stockwater. <br />Pond 10-2, which lies within the angle of draw of the Z Panel off II West Submains in the <br />West Mine, was found to be approximately 200' x 60' in 1983, is fed by runoff and a <br />colluvial seep and is used for stockwater and recreation. <br />Pond 10-3, which lies within the angle of draw of the Z Panel off II West Submains in the <br />West Mine, was found to be approximately 120' x 90' in 1983, is fed by runoff and is used <br />for stockwater and recreation. <br />Pond 10-4, which lies within the angle of draw of the Y Panel off II West Submains in the <br />West Mine, was found to be approximately 50' x 40' in 1983, is fed by runoff and is used <br />
