Avoiding acid or other toxic mine drainage by such measures <br />as, but not limited to, the prevention or removal of water <br />from contact with toxic producing deposits, the treatment of <br />drainage to reduce toxic contents which adversely affects <br />docvnstrecmc water upon being released to water courses; and <br />b. Conducting open mining operations so as to prevent additional <br />eoii[ributions of suspended solids to strccun flow or tunoCE <br />outside tlic permit area above natural levels under seasonal <br />flow conditions as measured prior to any mining, and avoiding, <br />where at all feasible, channel deepening and/or widening in <br />operations requiring the discharge of water; and <br />c. If tl~c water supply of mi owner of interest .in real property <br />who obtains all or part of his supply of water for domestic, <br />agricultural, industrial or other legitimate use from mt <br />widerground or surface source has been affecteJ by contamina- <br />tion, diminution or interruption proximately resulting from <br />mining, the operator shall be responsible for correcting the <br />problem; acid <br />d. h9iere applicable, restoring recharge capacity of the mined <br />arc:i to approximate preinining condition; mcd <br />e. Sucli other actions as the Doard may prescribe. <br />G. {Vildlife. <br />1. IV}ienever the chosen land use allows for any degree of protection <br />and/or augmentation of wildlife habitat, tl~e ol~crator shall con- <br />sult with the Division of (Vildlife regarding the reclamation plait. <br />Tlie proposed reclamation flan sl~al] provide for protection of <br />existing wildlife habitat actd/or the improvement of additional <br />suitable wildlife habitat that fulfills the subsequent beneficial <br />use of the laird. <br />
