7. If a 30 foot buffer zone is required along 23 Road, please revise the map accordingly.
Exhibit D - Minino Plan
8. The mining plan indicates an increase of 52 acres, 47.4 Acres of which will be mined. However,
the application specifies an increase in acreage of•47.4 acres. Please clarify this discrepancy.
9. The. submitted mining plan is very similar to the AM-02 mining plan before revision due to the
adequacy review. Rather than restate the AM-02 adequacy questions, please review the enclosed
AM-02 adequacy correspondence and revise the AM-03 mining plan to include the applicable
specifics agreed to during that review.
10. Please review Rule 6.4.4 and ensure all requirements are addressed in the AM-03 mining plan
specifically for-the AM-03 parcel. Specifically, description and size of area(s) to be worked at any
one time, water diversions (where will initial dewatering of north end AM-03 pit be routed to get to
existing ponds)
1 1 . Please specify measures to be taken to prevent adverse impacts to on-site mature cottonwoods
due to pit dewatering operations.
Exhibit E -Reclamation Plan
12. Please specify how AM-03 will change the maximum acreages to be disturbed (stripped, mined,
stockpile areas, etc.) at any one time and maximum highwall dimensions.
13. Please specify final slope configuration and compaction specifications to be used.
14. Please specify acreage to be revegetated in the AM-03 parcel. Please include the backfilled north
portion of the AM-03 parcel, if evidence of reasonable assurance that the area will be used for
commercial purposes cannot be submitted.
15. Please include a reclamation timetable correlated to the phased mining plan.
1 6. Please specify the topsoil and overburden stockpile locations so distance of haul for reclamation
can be determined.
17. Pleasa specify a seed mix to be used for topsoil stockpiles.
18. Please specify if the truck scale will remain following mining now that Mr. Schmahl will no longer
require it's use and Grand Junction Pipe will have mined out this area when AM-03 excavation is
complete.
Exhibit F -Reclamation Plan Map
1 9. If the truck scale is to be removed, please remove it from the reclamation plan map
20. Please specify and illustrate the post-mining land use for the north, backfilled area of the AM-03
parcel.
21. Please show all areas to be revegetated. Include the north backfilled area if evidence of future
commercial use cannot be demonstrated.
