The closed adit ,however, has evidenced minor seepage during <br />spring runoff season for the last two years. <br />In order to achieve permanent closure and reclamation of the mine site, the portal <br />entry must be opened and existing plug must be evaluated to assure that the best <br />available technology can be implemented to eliminate the problem. <br />Initially, the rock and soil cover material over the portal entry must be removed to <br />provide access into the underground workings for inspection and determination of <br />the specific work that must be completed to eliminate the seepage. <br />
