expands to the northeast side of the site as operational room permits. All other distwbed areas <br />will be reclaimed after the completion of all mining activities at the site. <br />(5) There will be no acid forming or toxic materials produced by mining and/or reclamation <br />activities at the proposed site. <br />(6) There will be no drill, auger holes adits or shads at the proposed site. All mining activities <br />will be of the swface variety using buldozers and loaders [o excavate and process material <br />from the pit area. <br />(7) All slopes will be at 3:I or less. 2:1 slopes will be limited as the upper slope aeeas will be <br />contoured across the central axis of the east-west ridge-line. Ponds or lakes are not part of this <br />reclamation plan. Seeps and associated wetland will be protected by BMP's <br />(8) The owner's/operator's choice of reclamation is for rangeland. <br />(9) There are no plans for the use of site generated or offsite inert structural backfill materials. <br />(] 0) There are no swface drainage systems within the proposed permit area. Stormwater controls <br />and BMPs will be utilized to prevent stormwater from entering the excavated pit area, any <br />riparian and/or seep and identified wetland areas. <br />(11) There wilt be no unauthorized release of pollutants to the groundwater. Fuels and lubricants <br />for equipment will be self-contained. No onsite fuel or fluid storage is contemplated other <br />than that which is self-contained in the equipment. Types will probably be diesel fuel, <br />gasoline, lubricating oils, and engine coolants. Volumes will be the tank sizes of the various <br />equipment. <br />All other applicable Rule 3: 3.1 Reclamation Performance Standards requirement concerns for <br />Surface Water, Groundwater, Wildlife, Topsoiling, and Revegetation are explained in the <br />appropriate "Exhibit" section ofthis application document. There are no current buildings, <br />structures or historic buildings or structwes located within the proposed permit area. Process <br />equipment for crushing screening or asphalt production will be mobile and temporary. There are <br />no planned buildings or strnctwes to be located within the proposed permit area. Appropriate <br />signage will be posted at the site access indicating the name of the operator, statement that a <br />reclamation permit has been issued by the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board, and permit <br />number. (Currently Gray Pit #1 M-2003-092) The boundaries of the affected area will be <br />clearly delineated by steel posts and other appropriate markers. A lockable 16 ft steel access gate <br />will controls ingress and egress to the site. <br />(d) Plans for topsoil segregation, preservation, replacement and revegetation. List of preferred <br />species to be planted planting methods and time of planting. <br />The upper 6 to 10 inches of topsoil material will be salvaged and stockpiled along west side of <br />the site permit boundary for replacement in reclamation **(Any and all possible topsoil will <br />be reserved for reclamation no matter what the current thickness). If topsoil stockpiles <br />are to be left for more than t growing season, they will be seeded with the USDA <br />recommended seed mix. These stockpiles will be located out of mine traffic areas and <br />possible temporary stockpile locations. Topsoil will be stripped from all areas to be mined <br />and those areas where crushing or other such processing and stockpiling activities will take <br />place to avoid contaminating the topsoil. As shown on the Reclamation Plan Map, a sloping <br />profile of 3:1 to 10:1 will rise from the south to the north, after ripping and final grading, <br />
