the area affected by the mining operation would indicate
that some modification of acreages is in order. Major
disturbance is 4.8 acres, moderate disturbance is 5.4
acres, and minor disturbance is 8.46 acres.
Exhibit E -- Reclamation Plan
1. A. Area backfilled and graded 2.1 acres.
B. Area backfilled, graded, topsoiled and seeded 8.46
acres.
2. A. Topsoil will be replaced on overburden native to the
site.
B. Overburden found on the site tends to have good water
holding capacity. Root penetration in this material
does not generally pose a problem. Scarification of the
overburden can be done if necessary. This process has
not been necessary in reclamation done to date.
C. Overburden replacement depth varies depending on the
location within the area mined. Depth of overburden
will be as little as one foot and in the bulk of the
area considered in this amendment, will not exceed ten
feet in depth. ~_~~/
3. There should be no problems in keeping the
area from being grazed until after revegetation has been
established.
Exhibit F -- Reclamation Plan Map.
1. A revised reclamation plan map is enclosed.
Exhibit G -- Water Information
1. All mining is kept three feet or more above groundwater.
