• <br />Bowie No. 1 Mine Loadout <br />Structural Demolition <br />Scope of Work <br />General <br />The Scope of Work is defined as the furnishing of all labor, material, equipment, and all <br />construction services as outlined in the Description of Work and other paragraphs of <br />this Section necessary to complete the dismantling, removal and disposal of the <br />structures at the unit train ladout. <br />Description of Work <br />The Contractor shall be responsible for dismantling the structures located at the Bowie <br />No. 1 Mine Loadout. All equipment, materials and debris dismantled and/or generated <br />by the Contractor's activities shall be removed from the Owner's site by the Contractor <br />and disposed of properly. All work shall be performed to the Owner's satisfaction. The <br />only concrete demolition work required is the three concrete silos. The structures, other <br />than the silos, shall be removed down to the foundations. <br />Structures included in this scope of work include: <br />1. Truck Dump <br />2. No. 1 Conveyor <br />3. Steel at Top of Silo <br />4. No. 2 Conveyor <br />5. Loadout Structure <br />6. Maintenance Building <br />7. Steel Under Silos <br />8. Substation <br />9. Miscellaneous Electrical <br />10. 3 Concrete Silos <br />Work at the truck dump includes the associated structures including the bag houses. <br />The Contractor may bury the concrete silos on the site provided the concrete is broken <br />so no significant voids are present in the backfill. The concrete silos shall be <br />demolished down to the adjacent ground surface. All concrete buried on site must be <br />placed under at least four feet of cover. The Owner will supply final contour grades so <br />the Contractor will be able to determine the appropriate depth to bury the concrete. <br />The Contractor shall be responsible for the maintenance of the access road to the <br />county road. <br />-1- <br />
