(4 to 10 inches <br />thick) <br />AC - 8 to 13 inches; brown (7.SYR 4/2) extremely gravelly sandy <br />loam, dark brown (7.SYR 3/2) moist; weak medium granular <br />structure; slightly hard, very friable; 70 percent gravel; <br />neutral (pH 6.8); gradual smooth boundary. (3 to 10 inches <br />thick) <br />C1 - 13 to 35 inches; brown (7.SYR 5/2) extremely gravelly sandy <br />loam, dark brown (7.SYR 4/2) moist; massive; loose; 80 <br />percent gravel; neutral (pH 7.0); gradual smooth boundary. <br />(8 to 24 inches thick) <br />Cr2 - 35 inches; grus (highly weathered granite). <br />Thickness of the solum ranges from 7 to 20 inches. Coarse fragments <br />make up 35 to 80 percent of the solum. Reaction ranges from slightly acid <br />through neutral. <br />The Al horizon is dark gray, dark grayish brown, brown or dark brown <br />very gravelly sandy loam.
