62. Rule 2.04.6(3): Proposed Map 23 (certified 9/10/99) depicts a fault extending from the
NE'/a of Section 24, TSN. R86W, through the NW'/a of Section l 1, TSN, R86W. Proposed
Map 6, "Wadge Seam Structure" (certified 2/4/00), proposed Map 9, Geologic Cross Section
C to C' " (certified 12/7/99), and proposed Map 9A, "Geologic Cross Section "E" (certified
l 1/19/99) do not seem to have depicted this fault. Please address.
63. Rule 2.04.6(3): It is stated in the fourth paragraph of proposed permit page 2.04-16.2 (rev.
2/24/99) that "The 97-013 TMlI'C monitoring wells, which were installed on the northern
side of the property did locate a fault which was previously projected for this area...The
location of the well is shown on Map 13A." Please add to this permit text the locations of
these wells in'/a'/a Section, Township, and Range format.
Map 13A (cettified 12/16/99) does not depict the locations of any well(s) labeled "97-O13
TM/TC". Please address.
64. Rule 2.04.6(3): It is stated in the fourth paragraph of proposed permit page 2.04-16.2 (rev.
2/24/99) that `"fhe fault had an estimated displacement of 200-2580 feet...". This seems too
large a range in displacement values. Please address.
65. Rule 2.04.6(3): The amounts of displacement on the faults in the Southwestern and Eastern
Mining districts are shown on Proposed Map 6, "Wadge Seam Structure", certified 2/4/00.
Please also provide on proposed Map 6 the amount of displacement observed on the fault
located near the far northern end of the Foidel Creek Mine permit boundary. Please also
indicate on Map 6 which sides of the fault are the up-thrown and down-thrown blocks.
66. Rule 2.04.6(3): Proposed Map 6, "Wadge Seam Structure" (certified 2/4/00), indicates that
Geologic Cross Section A-A' (Map 7, certified 12/7/99) is constructed through boreholes
"90001" and "02181028". These boreholes aze not depicted on Geologic Cross Section A-
A'. Please address.
67. Rule 2.04.6(3): Proposed Map 6, "Wadge Seam Structure" (cettified 2/4/00), indicates that
Geologic Cross Section D-D' (Figure lA, certified 12/13/99) is constructed through
boreholes "W l5", "97006", and "02181008". These boreholes are not depicted on Geologic
Cross Section D-D'. Please address.
68. Rule 2.04.6(3): Please extend Geologic Cross Section C-C" eastward through boreholes
"40101", "40124", "40082", "40080", and "40125". This will help the Division better
understand the dip angle, dip direction, and displacement of all Five of the faults in Section
l2, TSN, R86W that are depicted on Maps 6 and 23.
69. Rule 2.04.6(3): The Middle Creek Mine mains are depicted on proposed Map 6, "Wadge
Seam Structure" (cettified 2/4/00), in the S %z of Section l2, TSN, R86W. It is the
Division's understanding that this underground Wadge Seam mine encountered relatively
high groundwater inflows. Please discuss the rates of mine water inflows observed in the
Middle Creek Mine, the potential sources of this water, and the potential geologic pathways
(faults, aquifers, etc) for this water.
t
