be over-excavated and replaced with structural fill, and approved by the field <br />engineer prior to placement of the floor slab. <br />Irrigation Piaeline <br />HDPE Pipe Diameter and Pressure Rating <br />Minimum pipe diameters aze noted on the Design Drawings. All installed pipelines <br />shall meet or exceed the minimum pipe diameter specified on the drawing. Installed <br />pipeline shall meet or exceed the pressure rating indicated in the Construction <br />Specifications. <br />HDPE Pipe Placement <br />Pipe trenches shall be excavated to the grades and elevations specified on the Design <br />Drawings. The minimum burial depth shall be 3 feet. The trench bottom shall be a <br />• smooth surface, free from protrusions that may damage the pipe, and graded <br />uniformly at the slopes shown on the drawings. Native soil shall be used as bacltfill <br />and placed in accordance with recommendations of the pipe maufacturer. <br />HDPE Pipe Welding <br />HDPE pipe shall be joined using a thermal butt fusion welding machine approved by <br />the Owner's representative. Fusion-welding appazatus shall be automated devices <br />equipped with gauges giving the applicable temperatures and pressures. HDPE pipes <br />shall not be joined at ambient temperatures below 40 degrees F or above 104 degrees <br />F. <br />Hydrostatic Testin¢ <br />Hydrostatic testing shall be performed in the presence of the Owner's Representative <br />® and in accordance with the construction specifications. Pressure testing shall be <br />completed on all installed HDPE pipe prior to placing fill over the pipes. Pipes shall <br />Battle Mountain Resources, Inc.
