Southfield Mine Minor Revision Request No. 20 -South Fan Installation • 14 Construct and Install Fan Housing, Fan and Associated Components Upon completion of all necessary preparatory work, EFCI will modify, as appropriate, existing foundation structures and construct/install the ventilation fan, drive motor, control equipment and fan housing. Any necessary modifications will be designed and constructed to provide effective support for fan components and to effect full compliance with applicable MSHA provisions under 30 CFR 75.300. The fan housing will be a fabricated sheet steel enclosure mounted on the exterior foundation structure. The housing will be a maximum of approximately 20 feet wide, 20 feet long and 6 feet high, will be configured to provide the appropriate fan offset as specified by applicable MSHA regulations, and will include explosion doors or diffuser panels and an +` access door for fan inspection and maintenance. The fan housing will connect to the portal structure and the exterior of the housing will be enclosed to provide an airtight seal. The fan shroud, fan, drive motor and related control and monitoring equipment will be installed within the fan housing on appropriate foundation structures. The fan will be an American Standard 60-inch centrifugal fan, bell-driven from a 50 Hp, 480 volt electric motor. The fan will operate continuously except for scheduled maintenance during mine shut-down periods and will be inspected daily in compliance with applicable MSHA regulations. Maintenance will include lubrication of fan and motor components, inspection and replacement of belt drives, and testing and repair of control and monitoring systems as necessary. Fan . pressure readings will be recorded during the daily inspections and explosion doors/diffuser panels will be inspected at least monthly. ACZ Inc •Y.O.
