David Berry
October 15, 1990
Page Three
Bond Released Acreage (Phase I) -
The value of 338 was obtained from the bond release package. The value is not correct, as was
discussed with Terrell Johnson during the bond adjustment process. At that time, it was agreed that
the value is not correct.
Phase I release was granted for all areas of the mine, except the mine office area and the topsoil pile.
Therefore, the acreage should equal affected acreage, minus the acreage associated with the mine
office and topsoil pile.
CYCC Response:
Per our previous discussion with the Division, CYCC intends to utilize a value of 368 acres for
Phase I Bond Release (Equal to the Reclaimed Acreage value). The application form has been
revised accordingly.
Bond Release Acreage (Phase III) -
The value of 100.2 is reasonable.
CYCC Response:
No response necessary.
MLRD CONCERN:
Permanent Roads
Please submit a revised post-mining topography map which shows the access roads around and near
the Lieske residence as permanent features.
CYCC Response:
hlap 16A (Reclamation) has been revised to reflect the permanent status of the access roads,
and is enclosed.
MLRD CONCERN:
Drainage Control
We will stipulate that a complete technical revision must be provided which thoroughly updates the
drainage control plan for the entire site. It must include revised Maps 4a and 4b, which show the
total permit area, accurate topographic information, and all drainage control features. The plan must
ensure that all disturbed area drainage is handled in accordance with the Rules and Regulations.
