Exhibit F -Reclamation Plan Mao
14. Please be aware that that the structures shown on the South Area Reclamation Plan Map are
not approved to remain as permanent features. Since this amendment application currently
only deals with the proposed new permit areas, approval of this amendment will not constitute
approval of leaving those structures as permanent features. If the recommendation offered in
No. 12 above is implemented, the South Area facilities structures will either need to be
permitted as permanent features, or they will need to be removed from the reclamation plan
map.
Exhibit G -Water Resources
15.This exhibit mentions applying for, or amending well permits, to cover the Stage 2 -Part B
and Stage 5 lakes. Please be aware that the well permits for Phase (Stagel 6, Phase 2 -Part
A, and Phase 3 - Parts A and B may also require amending due to changes in acreage of their
evaporative surfaces.
Exhibit H -Wildlife Information
16.The wildlife statement submitted with the original application is outdated. Please submit anew
wildlife statement for the mining areas proposed by this amendment.
Exhibit J - Veoetation Information
17.Please check with the Mesa County National Heritage Inventory to determine if the proposed
mining areas are within a conservation area identified as potential habitat for the endangered
Uinta Basin hookless cactus. If within an identified conservation area, a field survey of the
proposed areas will need to be performed, by persons qualified to identify this species, to
determine if the cactus exists on those areas. Results of that survey will need to be submitted
as part of this exhibit.
Exhibit L -Reclamation Costs
1$.The Division will be recalculating the reclamation cost estimate for this operation, based on
the current mining operation, the details of this submitted amendment, and Whitewater's
responses to this {etter.
In absence of any revision application requests to leave the some of the South Area facilities
structures as permanent, the reclamation cost estimate will include costs for demolition and
disposal of these structures.
Exhibit M -Other Permits
19.Whitewater should contact the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment
regarding possible required revisions to emissions, stormwater and NPDES permits.
Exhibit O -Owners of Record
