Phase IVb Weekly Summary No. 26 Pase 2 <br />003-2203 <br />geomembrane deployment. Ames backfilled approximately 250 linear feet of anchor trench on the <br />2H:1 V riser slope, and south along the upper bench of the OSA slope. Ames also backfilled <br />approximately 100 lineaz feet of Phase IVb OSA anchor trench on the Phase III ore slope (9636 <br />elevation bench). <br />Ames hauled, placed, and compacted SLF material into the Phase IVb OSA, on the west and south <br />slopes of the Substation Hill. SLF material was worked, tested, and passed per project specification <br />prior to SLF surface acceptance. <br />Ames continued placement of high Volume Solution Collection System (HVSCS) secondary and <br />tertiary piping within the Phase IVb OSA limits, followed by DCF haul and placement per project <br />plans. Ames began a haul and placement of DCF onto the 2H: 1 V riser slope, south of the Low Volume <br />Solution Collection System (LVSCS) riser trench. Ames continued to haul and place DCF in the Phase <br />IVb OSA adjacent to the Phase IVa tie-in. Ames continued to haul and place DCF onto the Phase IVb / <br />Phase III ore slope, south west of the PSSA sump. <br />Ames continued production of DCF at the screen plant located neaz the Secondary Crusher. Ames also <br />continued limited production of SLF. <br />Poly-Flex continued deployment of 80-mil double-sided textured LLDPE geomembrane in the Phase <br />IVb OSA on the 2H:1 V LVSCS riser slope. Poly-Flex deployed 80-mil double-sided textured LLDPE <br />geomembrane over an azea of approximately 5,081 squaze feet in the Phase IVb OSA during this <br />reporting period. Geomembrane panels B-401, B-402, and B-409 were deployed, seamed, and tested by <br />Poly-Flex. No destructive fusion seam samples were marked on this section of liner. Destructive <br />extrusion seam sample DXb-25 was marked and removed. DXb-25 failed to meet project specification <br />and additional destructive samples (DXb-25a1, DXb-25a2, DXb-25b1, and DXb-25b2) were taken <br />across approximately 120 linear feet of extrusion weld until passing conditions were met. The <br />delineated failure across the seaming length was capped and extrusion welded and two additional <br />destructive samples were performed on the cap (DXb-26 and DXb-27). Destructive extrusion seam <br />peel and shear tests on 80-mil extrusion samples DXb-26 and DXb-27 passed project specification. <br />Poly-Flex resumed deployment of 80-mil single-sided textured LLDPE geomembrane in the Phase IVb <br />OSA on the west-facing slope of Substation Hill. Poly-Flex deployed 80-mil single-sided textured <br />LLDPE geomembrane over an area of approximately 283,990 square feet in the Phase IVb OSA during <br />this reporting period. Geomembrane panels B-403 through B-408, and B-410 through B-510 were <br />deployed, seamed, and tested by Poly-Flex. Destructive fusion and extrusion seam samples DFb-1li <br />through DFb-151 and DXb-28 were mazked and removed.
