feet squaze and 6 inches thick. The concrete slabs will be constructed in the locations shown on
• Drawing 1 before liner placement and after regrading. The evaporative sprayers were located to
maximize evaporation without allowing over spray outside of the liner boundary. The maximum
radius of spray is 125 feet (1.1 acres spray azea per location). Details of the evaporative spray
locations and mainline trench aze shown on the Detail Sheet (Drawing 3).
3.4 Pumping Operations
The evaporative spray operation includes pumping water from dewatering well(s) BF-3, 4, or 6
to the holding pond azea (see Drawing 1). The maximum pumping rate is anticipated to be
approximately 350 gpm (see Figure 3-3).
Water from the holding pond will be pumped to the main line (6-inch, Standard Dimension Ratio
(SDR) 11) installed along the southern edge of the evaporative spray azea and distributed to four
or five evaporation spray stations (Turbo-mist S30P) through 4-inch (SDR 15.5) laterals. Water
will be pumped from the holding pond using a primary suction pump (4-inch, self-priming, 20
hp, 1,750 rpm, 100-foot head, 500 gpm) and booster pump (4-inch, 100 hp, 3,600 rpm, 419-foot
• head, 500 gpm). The pumps will operate from concrete slabs that aze 6 feet x 6 feet square and 6
inches thick, constructed on the crest of the holding pond berm. Details of the pump locations
are shown on the Detail Sheet (Drawing 3). Sandbags will be used to stabilize the main line and
lateral lines. The sand bags will be placed as shown on the Detail Sheet (Drawing 3) to raise the
lines off of the liner and allow continuous flow to the holding pond.
As mentioned, lateral lines (4-inch SDR 15.5) will be used to deliver water from the main line to
the evaporation spray stations. Each of the lateral lines will be equipped with a gate valve to
allow pressurization of each station independently. In addition, a gate valve will be installed
immediately downstream from the booster pump on the berm crest to allow the system to be shut
down and drained back to the holding pond.
r~
U
Battle Mounmin Resources, Ina DRAF!
