In order to prevent wind damaged geomembranes from being placed, the following Quality <br />Assurance procedures shall be followed: <br />1. CONTRACTOR shall perform its Work and utilize sufficient ballast as necessary to <br />prevent wind uplift ofthe geomembrane panels. <br />2. If wind damage should occur, CERTIFYING ENGINEER shall determine if the <br />geomembrane shall be repaired or replaced. Wind damage to [he geomembrane will <br />include wrinkles, creases, and tears, as determined by CERTIFYING ENGINEER. <br />3. Repa'v or replacement of the wind-damaged geomembrane shall be completed by <br />CONTRACTOR at no additional cost to CC&V. <br />4. As determined by MANAGER and CERTIFYING ENGINEER, the geomembrane <br />panel may be rejected at no cost to CC&V. <br />1.04 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING: <br />A. Packing and Shipping <br />Labels on each roll delivered to Site shall identify the following. <br />a. MANUFACTURER'S name <br />b. Product Identification <br />c. Thickness <br />• d. Roll number <br />e. Batch or lot number <br />E Panel number (when applicable) <br />g. Rall dimensions <br />2. CONTRACTOR shall ensure that geomembrane rolls are properly loaded and secured <br />to prevent damage during transit. <br />3. CONTRACTOR shall protect geomembrane from excessive heat, cold, puncture, <br />cutting, or other damaging or deleterious conditions. <br />4. CONTRACTOR shall ensure personnel responsible for loading, transport and <br />unloading of geomembrane aze fully aware of the consequences of damage to <br />geomembrane, and aze familiaz with handling and transport constraints imposed by <br />MANUFACTURER. <br />5. Geomembrane delivered to the project shall be protected by a relatively impermeable <br />and opaque protective cover, with individual straps for unloading. <br />B. Acceptance at Site <br />1. CQA Monitor shall perform inventory and surface inspection for defects and damage of <br />all geomembrane rolls upon delivery. <br />2.
