3. CONTRACTOR shalt repair damage resulting from handling and transport of <br />geomembranes at no additional cost to CC&V. If irrepazable, in the opinion of <br />• CERTIFYING ENGINEER, damaged materials shall be replaced at no additional <br />cost to CC&V. <br />C. Storage and Protection <br />MANAGER will provide area for on-site Stomge of the geomembrane rolls from time <br />of delivery until installation. <br />2. The storage and handling of the materials is the responsibility of CONTRACTOR <br />from the time the materials are manufactured until the time the completed installation is <br />accepted. CONTRACTOR is responsible for preparing the storage location and for <br />the protection of the materials from the elements (e.g. ultraviolet light, moisture, <br />temperature, etc.). <br />3. After CONTRACTOR has removed material from storage, CONTRACTOR shall <br />protect geomembrane from puncture, dirt, grease, water, moisture, mud, mechanical <br />abrasion, excessive heat and other sources of damage. <br />4. CONTRACTOR shall preserve integrity and readability of the geomembrane roll <br />labels, and store the rolls such that MANAGER and CERTIFYING ENGINEER <br />have access to the package slips or roll labels for each roll to verify roll acceptance. <br />5. The rolls shall be stored on a prepared surface (not wooden pallets) and should not be <br />stacked more than two rolls high. <br />1.05 SITE CONDITIONS: <br />A. Geomembrane Deployment <br />t. Do not proceed with deployment at an ambient temperature below 14° F or above <br />100° F unless otherwise authorized, in writing, by MANAGER, DESIGN <br />ENGINEER and CERTIFYING ENGINEER. Temperature monitoring shall be <br />perforated by the CQA Monitor. <br />2. Do not deploy during precipitation, in the presence of excessive moisture (e.g. fog, <br />dew), in an area of ponded water, or in the presence of excessive winds. <br />3. Do not undertake deployment if weather conditions will preclude material seaming on <br />same day as deployment. <br />B. Seaming <br />1. Normal Weather Conditions <br />Normal seaming procedures may take place if the following weather conditions exist: <br />a. Ambient temperature between 35° F and 100° F. <br />b. Dry conditions, i.e., no precipitation or other excessive moisture, such as fog <br />or dew. <br />• c. No excessive winds. <br />2.
