1
procedures given in Section 5.3 for the ground water and surface
water samples will apply. Quality control procedures for copper,
zinc, iron, calcium and sodium are the same as those given in
Section 5.3.
6.4.2 Total and WAD Cyanide Analvsis Only; The quality control protocols
' for total cyanide analysis will be consistent with those described
in Section 5.3, subject to modification for the specific analytical
procedure, as described in USEPA Method 9010, Section 8, or USEPA
Method 9012, Section 8, given in Appendix G. WAD cyanide analyses
' in the process samples will follow similar protocols as the total
cyanide analyses.
' 6.5 Analytical Accuracy and Verification
' 6.5.1 Full Analvsis: Analytical accuracy and verification protocols
' will be the same as described in Section 5.4 if there is sufficient
sample for analysis of all parameters listed in Table 2.
Analytical accuracy and verification procedures for copper, zinc,
iron, calcium and sodium analyses are the same as those given in
Section 5.4.
' Total and WAD cyanide analyses on the process samples will be
' consistent with the protocols and data described in Section 5.5.2.
' 6.5.2 Total Cyanide Analysis Only The analytical accuracy and
verification requirements will be similar to and consistent with
' Section 5.4. Limited data on accuracy and precision for total
cyanide analysis are given in USEPA Method 9010, Section 10.

1

The sensitivity of the manual method, USEPA Method 9010, using a
colorimetric finish, is given as 0.02 mg/L, suggesting a PQL of
about 0.04 mg/L. The PQL for cyanide (all forms) in ground water
samples for the applicable, or most sensitive, analytical method is
-42-
