AF'F' i=i- '?c' E~3~QpFM
P,lli~?
BEI projects that this system shall reduce free CN down to less than 30 ppm, ie.,
shall provide an approximate 90~ retluction within 42 days. This level is well
below suggested levels proposed by EpA and U.S, Department of Fish and Wildlife.
QP'~ R ~ C tox appears to reduce CL_W~by_.5X o -0u9h~he_s stem. Although
this is beneficial it would not reduce WAD to 40 ppm until 420 days of operation.
This can satisfy neither BMG nor the State. Consequently BMG has asked BEI to
reduce Cu WAD to less than 40 ppm and has requested a solution by 5-1-92; 6EI
has agreed and strongly believes it to be possible.
BEI believes that a plan can be delivered by 5-1-92 to be implemented by 8-1-92
that would reduce WAD to Tess than 40 ppm by 6-22-92,
BEI proposes that once WAD are removed and (CN) is suitably lowered that Cytox
will perform according to the formula outlined in Appendix I.
