1. Geonet shall be supplied in rolls wrapped in relatively impermeable and opaque <br />protective wvers, with straps for unloading. <br />• 2. Geonet rolls shall be marked or tagged with the following information. <br />a. Manufacturer's name <br />b. Produc[ information <br />c. Roll number <br />d. Batch of lot number <br />e. Roll dwensions <br />3. CON'T'RACTOR shall ensure that geonet rolls are properly loaded and secured to <br />prevent damage during transit. <br />4. CONTRACTOR shall protect geonet from excessive heat, puncture, cutting, or other <br />damaging or deleterious conditions. <br />5. CONTRACTOR shall ensure personnel responsible for loading, transport, and <br />unloading of are familiar with handling and transport constraints imposed by <br />Manufacturer. <br />B. Acceptance at Site <br />• 1. CQA Monitor shall perform inventory and surface inspection for defects and damage <br />of all geonet rolls upon delivery. <br />2. CONTRACTOR shall unroll and inspect any geonet roll that may be damaged below <br />surface layers. <br />3. CON'T'RACTOR shall repair damage resulting from handling and transport of geonet <br />at no cost to CC&V. If irrepazable, in the opinion of CERTIl'YIIVG ENGINEER, <br />damaged materials shall be replaced at no cost to CC&V. <br />C. Storage and Protection <br />MANAGER shall provide on-site storage area for geonet rolls from time of delivery <br />until installation. <br />2. The storage of the materials is the responsibility of CONTRACTOR from the time <br />the materials aze off-loaded until the time the completed installation is accepted. <br />CONTRACTOR is responsible for preparing the storage location, off the ground, <br />and for the protection of the material from the elemems (e.g. ultraviolet light, <br />moisture, temperature, etc.). <br />3. After CONTRACTOR has removed material from storage area, protect geonet from <br />puncture, dirt, groundwater, moisture, mud, mechanical abrasion, excessive heat, <br />ultraviolet light exposure, and other sources of damage. <br />4.
