Overburden Stockpile
r1
The overburden from Phase 1 will be stockpiled in a berm along the northern permit boundary east
of the one-hundred feet buffer between the Hutchins residence to the north and the mining
operation. Additional overburden will also be stockpiled to the south of the mining azea. Once
enough of Phase 1 has been mined out to start creating the peninsulas detailed in the Reclamation
Plan, this stockpile will be rehandled and will create a portion of the peninsula shown in Phase 1.
As mining progresses and additional overburden is removed, the overburden will be used for
concurrent reclamation, thereby eliminating the need to store overburden in stockpiles. Excess
overburden may also be sold as a secondary commodity if such a demand exists over the life of the
mine. However, at a minimum, sufficient overburden will be retained on site to reclaim the site to
the topography shown on Map F, Reclamation Plan Map minus the island.
5. Water Information, Rights and Augmentation
All water rights issues such as availability of water for this operation, consumption rates, dust
control, etc. is presented in Exhibit G -Water Information.
6. Schedule of Oaerations
Mining operations will only occur as dictated by demand up to the maximum rates described
eazlier in the mine plan. Mining, screening and processing will take place yeaz round and product
will be sold from this activity throughout the yeaz, although little is expected to be sold in winter
months. The operator will not have night gavel mining operations, although minor truck activity
or repairs may occur after hours. Mining, processing and trucking will take place no more than 13
hours per day, between the hours of 6 am and 7 pm, 6 days per week.
7. Delta County Impacts and Environmental Impacts
The impacts to Delta County will be limited. Minimal dust is expected from the operation due to
the pit being wet and roads being watered as needed. Outgoing truck traffic will leave the site via
Anderson Pit, April 07 D-11
