• 2.3 Environmental Information
As per Rule 6.0 of the Rules, environmental information required for this
Amendment application is found in Exhibit G (Water and Wetlands), Exhibit H
(Wildlife), Exhibit I (Soils), Exhibit J (Vegetation) _a nd Exhibit K (Climate and Air
Quality). As referenced earlier, the new affected land is USFS managed land
and requires a SUP for entry. The EA was prepared by USFS to assess
environmental impacts of the overland conveyor. This document and the
information provided in the original Permit application in 1977 account for the
significant data and information on environmental components reviewed for this
Amendment. Summaries and excerpts from these documents are included in
the referenced exhibits that are incorporated into this Amendment application.
• 3.0 RECLAMATION PLAN (EXHIBIT E)
3.1 Post-mining Land Use
Post-mining land Use in the 1977 Permit was specified as 'Open Forest'. This
land use is consistent with current DMG accepted land use designations of
Rangeland (RL) and Wildlife Habitat (WL). Considering the location of the
conveyor project, rangeland and wildlife post-mining land uses provide potential
surrogate uses for recreation and forestry. These designated land use are
acceptable to the USFS, the surface land manager.
3.2 Goals and Objectives
Reclamation goals and objectives cited in this Reclamation Plan (Plan) are
• consistent with the objectives in the 1977 Permit. Goals stated in Section 9 of
qre
10
January 16,1 M
Plan Uoc
