Please contact the Forest <br />Service prior to installing logs or silt fences as containment structures. <br />All non-system roads utilized through mizung operations will be reclaimed to neaz-natural <br />conditions immediately after the operations aze complete. <br />Avoid operations during periods of heavy rain or when soils aze wet. <br />The operator will be required to reclaim mining pits by filling with excavated material, <br />recontouring, replacing topsoil and seeding with a Forest Service approved seed mix. <br />Stabilize disturbed sites during and after operations to control erosion. <br />Any fuels, antifreeze, solvents or potential hazardous materials must be properly labeled <br />and stored to contain any leaks, and placed at least 100 feet away from the spring and any <br />perennial, intermittent, and ephemeral drainages. <br />Herita e: <br />There are no known sites eligible for the National Register of Historic Places <br />If previously unknown sites are discovered by either the operator or the Forest Service, <br />mining operations that could impact a new site will immediately stop until the site is <br />evaluated by the Forest Service and any needed mitigation measures developed. If sites <br />aze determined to be eligible for the National Register by the Colorado State Historic <br />Preservation Officer they will be flagged and avoided during mining operations. <br />Fire: <br />All internal combustion engines including but not limited to generators, vehicles, <br />mechanized mining equipment and power tools will be fitted with an approved spark <br />arresting device or muffler in good working order. <br />The operator will provide and maintain hand tools for fire suppression in the event of a <br />wildland fire. <br />Terrestrial Wildlife, Sensitive. Threatened & Endangered Species Habitat: <br />If the operator camps overnight, all foodstuffs will be properly contained and located to <br />minimize conflicts with wildlife, especially bears. Food items should be stored in a bear- <br />proof container away from any tenting or camping sites. <br />Range: <br />Reclamation seed mixes will include only native species, and will not include crested <br />wheatgrass, smooth brome and yellow sweet clover, which are all potentially invasive <br />species. The operator will reclaim and seed all disturbed sites on the claim including <br />nonsystem roads, parking areas, high use sites and mining areas. The operator will use <br />the South Pazk District's dry/lower elevation seed mix, unless another seed mix is <br />approved by the Forest Service. <br />
