• Due to the irrigation requirements at the ranch, the imgation ponds will be
drained annually by approximately July, and pre-existing ground water
wells at the ranch will be used to complete the irrigation season.
For purposes of regulatory oversight of long-term water management of West Pit
ground water, this permit amendment will cover the modification of the existing
water supply pipeline to allow transfer of irrigation water and the construction of the
ranch storage pond. Thereafter, the permit will no longer regulate activities at the
ranch, but will remain in effect for the remainder of reclamation activities within the
original permit boundary. The use of West Pit ground water for irrigation at the ranch
will be regulated under a land application permit issued by the Colorado Department
of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE).
This permit amendment affects primarily Exhibits A (Legal Description), C (Pre-
Mining and Mining Plan Map(s) of Affected Lands), E (Reclamation Plan), F
(Reclamation Plan Map), G (Water Information), L (Reclamation Costs), M (Other
Permits and Licenses), and O (Owners of Record of Surface and Subsurface Rights
for Permit Area and Adjacent Lands). All other parts of the amended and revised
permit remain the same.
REFERENCES
DMG. 2005.
