r ~ Phase IW Weekly Summary No. 16 Page 2 003-2203 <br />Ames completed Drain Cover Fill (DCF) removal near the Phase III /Phase IVb PSSA tie-in in <br />preparation for east end berm and Phase IVb Ore Storage Area (OSA) construction. Ames resumed <br />DCF removal at the Phase I / IVa / IVb tie-in areas. <br />Ames began production of DCF at the screen plant located neaz the secondary crusher. <br />Ames. hauled and placed DCF onto the Phase IVb PSSA upper and lower geomembrane areas in <br />preparation for the east end berm construction. <br />Ames placed the Low Volume Solution Collection System (LVSCS) 14-inch riser piping in the 2H:1V <br />riser slope trench. Ames placed and graded existing Low Volume Solution Collection Fill (LVSCF) <br />onto the riser slope around the piping system, per project specifications. <br />Ames excavated and constructed approximately 300 feet of Primary Underdrain on the south slope of <br />Substation Hill in the Phase IVb area, including atie-in of the existing Secondary Underdrain on the <br />south slope. <br />Ames hauled and placed Bedding Fill (BF) material onto the east ore slope in the Phase IVb PSSA area, <br />neaz the east end berm construction area. <br />Poly-Flex continued deployment of 100-mil double-sided smooth (upper) LLDPE geomembrane in the <br />Phase Nb PSSA. Poly-Flex deployed 100-mil smooth LLDPE geomembrane over an area of <br />approximately 37,175 squaze feet in the Phase IVb PSSA during this reporting period. Geomembrane <br />panels U-253 through U-271 were deployed, seamed, and pressure tested by Poly-Flex. Destructive <br />fusion seam samples DFu-76 through DFu-81 and extrusion seam samples DXu-03 and DXu-04 were <br />marked and removed. Destructive fusion and extrusion seam peel and shear tests of samples DFu-69 <br />through DFu-79 and DXu-03 and DXu-04 were performed and passed per project specifications. <br />Poly-Flex resumed deployment of 100-mil single-sided textured (lower) LLDPE geomembrane in the <br />Phase IVb PSSA. Poly-flex deployed 100-mil single-sided textured LLDPE geomembrane over an azea <br />of approximately 39,578 square feet in the Phase IVb PSSA during this reporting period. <br />Geomembrane panels L-586 through L-602 were deployed, seamed, and pressure tested by Poly-Flex. <br />Destructive fusion seam samples DF-153 through DF-163 and extrusion seam samples DX-26 and DX- <br />27 were marked and removed. Destructive fusion and extrusion seam peel and shear tests of samples <br />DF-153 through DF-163 and DX-26 and DX-27 were performed and passed per project specifications. <br />Poly-Flex resumed deployment of 100-mil double-sided smoot't (lower) LLDPE geomembrane in the <br />Phase IVb PSSA. Poly-flex deployed 100-mil smooth LLDPE geomembrane over an area of <br />approximately 42,430 square feet in the Phase IVb PSSA during this reporting period. Geomembrane <br />panels M-616 through M-636 were deployed, seamed, and pressure tested by Poly-Flex. Destructive <br />fusion seam samples DF-169 through DF-171 and extrusion seam samples DX-30 and DX 31 were <br />marked and removed. Destructive fusion and extrusion seam peel and shear tests of samples DF-169 <br />through DF-171 and DX-30 through DX-31 were performed and passed per project specifications. <br />Poly-Flex resumed deployment of 80-mil single-sided textured LLDPE geomembrane in the Phase IVb <br />OSA.
