(Golder) is pleased to submit this summary of Phase IVb and c Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) services performed for the Cresson Project during the period of May 4 through May 10, 2003. The weather during this reporting period was clear to cloudy. Approximate daytime low temperatures ranged from 23° F to 32° F, and highs ranged from 34° F to 57° F. Snow was recorded on May 4 through May 6, and May 10. Weather observations were made on seven days of this seven-day reporting period. Construction Synopsis Ames Construction Inc. (Ames) of Aurora, Colorado is the earthworks contractor for the Phase IVb and c construction. Ames conducted Phase IVb and c constrrction activities on six days of this seven-day reporting period (May 5 through May 10, 2003). Poly-Flex conducted Phase IVb construction activities on six days of this seven-day reporting period (May 4 through May 4, 2003). Phase IVb Ames continued excavation of the upper Phase IVb PSSA geomembrane primary anchor trench and the lower secondary anchor trench, excavating approximately 300 feet of northern primary anchor trench, and approximately 250 feet of south ore slope secondary anchor trench. Ames completed placement of Structural Fill (SF) in the Phase IVb area, placing SF on the Substation Hill south slopes. Ames continued slope re-contouring and re-compaction on Substation Hill and Raven Hill, north and upslope of the PSSA.
