(Golder) is pleased to submit this summary of Phase IVb and c Construction <br />Quality Assurance (CQA) services performed for the Cresson Project during the period of May 4 <br />through May 10, 2003. <br />The weather during this reporting period was clear to cloudy. Approximate daytime low <br />temperatures ranged from 23° F to 32° F, and highs ranged from 34° F to 57° F. Snow was recorded <br />on May 4 through May 6, and May 10. Weather observations were made on seven days of this <br />seven-day reporting period. <br />Construction Synopsis <br />Ames Construction Inc. (Ames) of Aurora, Colorado is the earthworks contractor for the Phase IVb and <br />c construction. Ames conducted Phase IVb and c constrrction activities on six days of this seven-day <br />reporting period (May 5 through May 10, 2003). Poly-Flex conducted Phase IVb construction activities <br />on six days of this seven-day reporting period (May 4 through May 4, 2003). <br />Phase IVb <br />Ames continued excavation of the upper Phase IVb PSSA geomembrane primary anchor trench and the <br />lower secondary anchor trench, excavating approximately 300 feet of northern primary anchor trench, <br />and approximately 250 feet of south ore slope secondary anchor trench. <br />Ames completed placement of Structural Fill (SF) in the Phase IVb area, placing SF on the Substation <br />Hill south slopes. Ames continued slope re-contouring and re-compaction on Substation Hill and <br />Raven Hill, north and upslope of the PSSA. <br />
